LWRC
LWRC International™, LLC was founded to pursue the development of a short-stroke gas-piston operated version of the AR15/M16/M4 family of weapons. Our research and development activities have focused on eliminating the inherent shortcomings in the direct impingement operating system. These efforts have resulted in our family of M6™ short-stroke, gas-piston operated rifles and carbines, which improve on the direct impingement system by operating cleaner, quieter, and with greater accuracy – and they do so with greater reliability and longer service life.

In one of the most recent upgrades to our rifles, Cerakote ceramic firearm coating will be available as an alternative to black anodizing. Cerakote is a type of thermal cured firearms coating. It is applied over top of our standard Type 3 hard coat anodizing and offers unparalleled abrasion and corrosion resistance. It also incorporates the benefits of Teflon® without compromising its durability. This self-lubricating characteristic of Cerakote means that the rifle can be run with less lubrication; especially useful when operating in the desert or other dusty environments. We currently offer rifles in FDE (Flat Dark Earth) and OD Green (Olive Drab)Cerakote in addition to standard black anodized models. Effective Jan 1,2011: All rifles that have a Cerakote coating applied will be subject to a $150 upcharge. All uppers that have a Cerakote coating applied will be subject to a $100 upcharge. All lower receivers that have a Cerakote coating applied will be subject to a $50 upcharge.
